Forklift Truck Licence - What can I drive?

What can I do with a Forklift Truck Licence?

The LF high risk work licence class allows you to use forklift trucks, but does not include order-picking forklift trucks.
A forklift truck is a powered industrial truck equipped with a mast and an elevating load carriage which has a pair of fork arms attached (that can be raised 900 mm or more above the ground) or other load holding attachment.

Course overview
  •   We offer a nationally recognised licence.
  •   Get training on Counter Balance Forklift (LPG).
  •   Learn about legislation and standards applicable to operating a forklift.
  •   Understand risk management, control procedures and planning work.
  •   Conduct routine checks of the forklift.
  •   Shift loads in a safe manner, learn how to shut down and secure the forklift.
  •   On successful completion you will be given a Statement of Attainment  to apply for licence online at WH&S Qld website.
  •   You must be at least 18 years old to sit WH&S Qld assessment.
What to bring on the day?
  •   Photo ID: Driver's Licence, Passport, Medicare Card, Adult Proof of Age Card. For a full list of acceptable ID documents, visit WH&S website.
  •   Suitable clothing. If you have, bring Personal Protective Equipment.
  •   Appropriate footwear, no open footwear is allowed.

TLILIC0003– Forklift truck licence

  •   2 Days (1 day training + 1 day assessment)
      (Online theory pre-training as part of COVID Safe Plan)

    Course includes:
  • Full training in theory and practical driving 
     (Theory is complete online)
  • All course learning materials 
  • Supplied training resources and equipment, including hi-vis vest.
  • Theory and Practical assessment
  • This course provides all the training required to become a safe and competent operator. 
    Prices excludes W.H.S.Q.  application fee

  • If our trainer believes that the student may need further study or log more hours to become a competent operator.  Students will be welcomed back for further  training and assessment, for $100 extra charge.

    * Courses can be conducted at approved onsite business premises.  Minimum three students required.
