Other important information:

        Medical Fitness to Drive:

If you apply or renew your Queensland driver licence, you must notify Transport and Main Roads about any medical condition that is likely to adversely affect your ability to drive safely.  If you hold such a notification this must also be declared to  us when making your booking.

Your health professional will assess your medical fitness to drive.  When making your appointment to see your health professional, we recommend that you advise the reason for your visit so that an appropriate length appointment can be made for you.

When you attend your appointment, take with you a medical certificate for motor vehicle driver form (F3712). It is also a requirement  that you also complete the health questionnaire on page 1 of the Private and Commercial Vehicle Driver’s Health Assessment form (F3195) prior to attending your appointment as this information will assist your health professional with undertaking their medical assessment.

Both forms must be presented on your Heavy Vehicle Test Day.  To access to full details on website  https://www.qld.gov.au/transport/licensing/update/medical/fitness

  • If you currently hold a LR or MR Licence, a written knowledge test is not required.
  • If you are going to use your HR Licence to drive a bus, you may also need to obtain your driver’s authorization from Transport & Main Roads
